Dr. Haiwei Wu is with School of Cybersecurity, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. His research focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, specializing in multimedia digital forensics (e.g., image forgery localization, deepfake detection, and camera attribution) and AI security (e.g., robust training, adversarial attacks, and backdoor defense). He has published over 10 papers in top-tier international journals and conferences, including IEEE TIFS, CVPR, and NeurIPS. His research achievements include the Third Prize in the Macao Natural Science Award and the Macao Postgraduate Research & Development Award. His work also served as a key technical reference for the "Technical Requirements and Testing Methods for Image Tampering Detection in Telecommunication Networks and the Internet" standard by the China Communications Standards Association.He won 1st place in the "Global Deepfake Attack and Defense Challenge" at the 2024 Bund Conference (1 of 1,500 teams) and won 1st place in the "Secure AI Challenger: Tampering Detection in Forged Images" competition hosted by Tsinghua University in 2020 (1 of 1,561 teams). He has been invited to participate in multiple Alibaba Innovative Research Programs and received the Outstanding Academic Collaboration Project Award from Alibaba in 2023.
