在科学研究方面主张“以创新为基础、以应用为导向”,力争做有实际用途的创新研究。现主要从事用于5G/6G通信和雷达系统的天线与电波调控方法、电磁器件与集成系统的智能设计方法、基于时间反演电磁学的通信输能及探测等方面的研究工作。
已主持或参与国家自然科学基金(重点项目、面上项目、青年项目)、四川省科技计划项目、四川省自然科学基金重点项目等项目30余项,在Science Advances、IEEE TAP/MTT等学科重要期刊和会议发表学术论文 100 余篇,申请专利 30 余项,出版学术专/译著4部,在国际电波传播会议(APS)、国际微波毫米波会议(ICMMT)、亚太天线与传播国际会议(APCAP)、电磁研究进展国际会议(PIERS)、国际计算电磁学会议(ICCEM)、IMWS-AMP、RFIT、全国电波传播年会等国内外学术会议做特邀报告/分会场主席10余次。
